Rowan Salisbury Schools
Rowan
Salisbury Schools are in a location that supports the
education of our children. With a relatively small
school system, class size hovers at only 20 students per
class in elementary schools and high schools only
reaching as high as 25 students per class. The smaller
class size in Rowan Salisbury Schools gives teachers and
students more time to interact, and better teaching and
learning are well-supported in this type of environment.
In a nation focused on the “No Child Left Behind”
legislation, the Rowan Salisbury Schools are performing
along with the state average as far as annual testing is
concerned. With students performing in the mid-80th
percentile, Rowan Salisbury Elementary Schools are
keeping up with the state’s performance, while the high
schools are soaring past the North Carolina averages in
English I, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and
Chemistry. In addition to testing well, Rowan Salisbury
schools take pride in increased technological
integration, teacher retention, and proximity to higher
education.
In elementary schools like China Grove Elementary
School, kindergarten classes stay below 20 students per
class. No more getting lost in the sea of faces, your
elementary student can receive one-on-one teacher
attention in the Rowan Salisbury School System. Just
because the system is small, does not mean it
isn’t advanced. Students of all grades can go to the
Rowan Salisbury School System webpage and utilize the SchoolNotes.com application to find out what their
homework is. This kind of technological incorporation
into education teaches children more that just “reading,
writing, and arithmetic;” it teaches them how to survive
in today’s tech-savvy society.
Students in the Rowan Salisbury School System are held
to a high standard and are learning to perform. In recent
years, the “on-time” graduation rate in Rowan Salisbury
Schools has been over 95% - that’s impressive.
